How to Close Your Account
You may close your Dublin Poker Club & Casino account at any time, for any reason. There is no fee or penalty for account closure.
Option 1 — Through the App
- Navigate to Settings > Account > Close Account
- Select your reason for closure (optional, but helps us improve)
- Confirm your decision
- Your account will be deactivated within 24 hours
Option 2 — By Email
Send a request to info@dublinpokerclub.com from the email address registered to your account. Include your full name and membership number. We will process your request within 2 business days.
Option 3 — In Person
Visit the Club during opening hours (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM) and speak to a staff member at reception. Bring your photo ID for verification.
If You Are Closing Due to Gambling Concerns
If your reason for closing is related to problem gambling, please let us know — we will:
- Prioritise your request and process it immediately
- Add you to our self-exclusion register to prevent future entry to the Club
- Provide you with contact details for support services:

What Happens to Your Remaining Balance
If you have funds in your digital wallet at the time of closure:
- Cash withdrawal: Collect your balance at the Club cashier during opening hours
- Bank transfer: Request a transfer to your bank account (Irish/EEA IBAN required). Processing takes 1–3 business days.
- You must complete KYC verification before any withdrawal if you have not already done so
- If you do not claim your balance within 6 months of account closure, we will attempt to contact you. Unclaimed funds will be handled in accordance with applicable Irish law.
Data Retention After Closure
When your account is closed, we retain certain personal data as required by law:

Reactivation
Standard Closure
If you closed your account for non-gambling reasons, you may request reactivation by:
- Contacting us at info@dublinpokerclub.com or visiting the Club in person
- Verifying your identity (you may need to provide updated documents)
- Agreeing to the current Terms of Service
Reactivation is typically processed within 48 hours. Your previous gaming history and loyalty status may or may not be restored, at our discretion.
Gambling-Related Closure / Self-Exclusion
If you closed your account due to gambling concerns:
- A minimum exclusion period of 6 months must pass before you can request reactivation
- You must contact us in writing (email or in person) — reactivation is not available through the App
- A 24-hour cooling-off period applies after your reactivation request before access is restored
- We may require a conversation with a trained staff member to discuss responsible gaming before your account is reactivated
Account Closure by the Club
We may close your account in certain circumstances, including:
- Breach of our Terms of Service
- Failure to complete identity verification within a reasonable timeframe
- Suspected fraud, money laundering, or other criminal activity
- Regulatory or legal requirements
If we close your account, we will notify you and arrange return of any legitimate funds in your wallet, unless prohibited by law or regulation.
