Our Commitment to Fair Play

Dublin Poker Club & Casino is dedicated to providing a fair, transparent, and secure gaming environment for all members. Every game at our tables is conducted with integrity, professionalism, and adherence to the highest industry standards.

Licensed & Trained Dealers

All dealers at Dublin Poker Club & Casino are:

  • Professionally trained in dealing procedures for poker, blackjack, roulette, and punto banco
  • Vetted and background-checked prior to employment
  • Subject to ongoing training and assessment to maintain the highest standards
  • Required to follow strict procedural protocols for every game
  • Supervised by experienced floor managers at all times during gaming operations

Professional Equipment

We invest in top-quality gaming equipment to ensure fair and consistent play:

Table Games

  • Poker tables — Professional-grade felt tables with padded rails, suitable for tournament and cash game play
  • Roulette wheels — Precision-engineered wheels that are regularly inspected, calibrated, and tested for balance and randomness
  • Blackjack and Punto Banco tables — Standard casino-grade equipment meeting international specifications

Cards

  • We use new, sealed decks of casino-grade playing cards for every poker tournament and at regular intervals during cash games
  • Cards are inspected for damage or marking before use
  • Used decks are retired and destroyed — they are never reintroduced to play

Slot Machines

  • Our slot machines are manufactured by APEX, Apollo Games, and AMATIC — established, licensed gaming equipment providers
  • All machines operate on certified Random Number Generator (RNG) technology
  • Machines are regularly serviced, tested, and inspected to ensure correct operation and fair outcomes
  • Payout percentages comply with applicable regulations

Shuffle Procedures

Fair shuffling is fundamental to game integrity:

  • Manual shuffles are performed using industry-standard techniques (riffle, strip, and box shuffles) by trained dealers
  • Automatic shuffling machines may be used at certain tables for efficiency and additional randomness
  • Cut cards are used in all dealt games
  • Shuffling procedures are monitored by floor management

Tournament Integrity

Our poker tournaments are conducted according to clear, published rules:

  • Tournament rules are based on the Tournament Directors Association (TDA) guidelines, adapted for our Club
  • Rules are published in the App and displayed at the Club prior to each event
  • Random seat assignments are used for all tournaments
  • Blind structures and payout structures are published before registration opens
  • Clock management is handled by a dedicated tournament director
  • Any disputes are resolved by the floor manager, whose decision is final during play (formal complaints may be submitted afterward)
  • Collusion, chip dumping, and soft play are strictly prohibited and may result in disqualification, forfeiture of prizes, and membership revocation

Dispute Resolution

We take disputes seriously and handle them fairly:

At the Table

  • If a dispute arises during play, the dealer will pause the action and call the floor manager
  • The floor manager will hear all parties, review the situation (including CCTV where appropriate), and make a ruling
  • The floor manager’s decision is final for the purposes of continuing play

Formal Complaints

If you are not satisfied with a ruling or wish to raise a formal complaint:

  • Submit your complaint in writing to info@dublinpokerclub.com or in person at reception
  • We will acknowledge receipt within 5 business days
  • A full investigation will be conducted, including review of CCTV footage and witness accounts
  • You will receive a written response within 28 days
  • If you remain dissatisfied, you may escalate the matter to the relevant regulatory authority

Surveillance & Security

The safety and integrity of our gaming environment is supported by comprehensive security measures:

CCTV

  • High-definition CCTV cameras cover all gaming tables, the cashier area, entrances, and common areas
  • Footage is recorded continuously during operating hours
  • Recordings are retained for a minimum of 30 days (longer if required for investigations)
  • CCTV is monitored in real time by trained security personnel

Access Control

  • Membership verification is required upon every entry
  • Members who are self-excluded or suspended are flagged in our system and will be refused entry
  • Door staff are trained to verify identity and manage access

Anti-Cheating Measures

  • Dealers and floor managers are trained to identify suspicious behaviour, including marked cards, signalling, and device use
  • Electronic devices must not be used at active gaming tables (phones must be put away during hands)
  • Any member found cheating or attempting to cheat will face immediate removal, forfeiture of funds, and permanent exclusion

Staff Integrity

  • All staff are subject to a code of conduct that prohibits participation in games at the Club
  • Staff may not accept tips that could influence game outcomes
  • Regular internal audits are conducted to ensure compliance

Regulatory Compliance

Dublin Poker Club & Casino operates as a licensed private members club under Irish gaming and licensing legislation. We comply with all applicable laws and regulations governing gaming in Ireland, and we cooperate fully with any regulatory inspections or enquiries.
