Responsible Gaming

Last updated: 26 March 2026

Our Commitment

At Dublin Poker Club & Casino, we believe that gaming should be an enjoyable form of entertainment. We are committed to promoting responsible gaming and providing our members with the tools and support they need to stay in control.

If gaming ever stops being fun, we are here to help.

Know Your Limits

Before you play, we encourage you to:

  • Set a budget β€” Decide how much you can afford to lose before you start. Never gamble with money you cannot afford to lose.
  • Set a time limit β€” Decide in advance how long you plan to play.
  • Take regular breaks β€” Step away from the table or machine periodically.
  • Don’t chase losses β€” Accept that losses are part of gaming. Walking away is always an option.
  • Balance gaming with other activities β€” Gaming should complement your life, not dominate it.

Tools Available to You

Deposit Limits

Through the App, you can set daily, weekly, or monthly deposit limits on your digital wallet. Once a limit is set:

  • Reductions take effect immediately
  • Increases require a 72-hour cooling-off period before taking effect
  • You can adjust your limits at any time in the App under Settings > Responsible Gaming

Session Time Reminders

Enable session reminders in the App to receive notifications at intervals you choose (e.g., every 30, 60, or 90 minutes) reminding you how long you have been at the Club. These reminders include your net position for the session.

Reality Checks

When you log in to the App at the Club, you will see a summary of your recent activity, including time spent and net results over the past 7 days.

Cool-Off Periods

If you need a short break from gaming, you can activate a cool-off period of 24 hours, 7 days, or 30 days. During a cool-off period:

  • You cannot enter the gaming floor
  • You cannot make deposits to your digital wallet
  • You will not receive promotional communications
  • Cool-off periods cannot be reversed once activated

Self-Exclusion

If you feel that you need a longer break, you can self-exclude for a period of 6 months, 1 year, or indefinitely. Self-exclusion can be requested:

During self-exclusion:

  • Your membership is suspended
  • You will be refused entry to the Club
  • Your digital wallet is frozen (remaining funds can be withdrawn)
  • All marketing communications cease
  • Your details are shared with our door staff to ensure enforcement

To end a self-exclusion period, you must wait for the full period to elapse, then contact us. A minimum 24-hour cooling-off period applies before reinstatement.

Account Closure for Gambling Concerns

If you wish to close your account due to gambling-related concerns, we will process your request with priority and sensitivity. Any remaining balance will be returned to you. Please see our Account Closure policy for full details.

Signs of Problem Gambling

You may have a gambling problem if you:

  • Spend more money or time on gambling than you can afford
  • Find it hard to manage or stop gambling
  • Have arguments with family or friends about money and gambling
  • Lose interest in activities you usually enjoy
  • Are always thinking about gambling
  • Lie to other people about your gambling
  • Borrow money, sell possessions, or miss paying bills to fund gambling
  • Need to gamble with increasing amounts of money to get the same feeling
  • Feel restless or irritable when you try to reduce or stop gambling
  • Gamble to escape problems or relieve feelings of anxiety or depression

If any of these apply to you or someone you know, please reach out for help.
